"The Lies Employers Tell: How to Spot Union Busting in the Workplace” was created by two friends of Off Menu Press: Elijah Pasco (illustrator, cartoonist, collagist) and Sam Steele (writer, editor). It is one of the most DIY zines we have available, and it is also the only one that is directly intentionally informative/educational. 8 pages.
About the Authors:
Elijah N. Pasco is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator. From a young age, he has held a pencil in his hand (although now he prefers a crow nib pen) and has carried a sketchbook with him everywhere to the point of annoying all of his few friends and many family members. He also enjoys making himself and others (but mostly himself) laugh with zany drawings and jabbing political cartoons and caricatures. He has contributed to The Daily, Off-Leash News, and The Fishwrapper.
Sam Steele is a Seattle-based editor who writes very silly things on occasion. Her friends know she cares extensively about black tea, Star Trek, and socialism; her coworkers know she likes lemons. Her work can be found in The UW Daily, New Orleans Review, and Seattle Magazine
